Central Line Overhaul
We have recently completed the Modification and Overhaul of 700 Autocouplers
for the London Underground Central Line on behalf of Metronet BCV Ltd. This was a programmed 9-year overhaul
of essential equipment, carried out over a period of two years. Each eight-car train is equipped with eight
autocouplers, which required substantial overhaul and which were, at the same time, fitted with modifications
designed by Glentworth Rail to reduce noise, wear and tear and to improve safety. At the same time we undertook
the Overhaul of the Bar Couplers and the Drawgear Equipment. The project was completed by Glentworth Rail on
time and within budget.

Escalator Stepframe Manufacture
We manufacture the fabricated stepframes used throughout the London Underground network. We are currently
producing 250 steps per month, a volume which can be increased in accordance with demand.
Northern Line Overhaul
On behalf of Alstom Transport, we are currently involved in the repair and overhaul of a number of components
installed on the Northern Line. These include the Autocouplers, the Uncoupling Switches, the Inter-Car Cable
Harnesses, and the Heating Systems. Several items have been re-designed by Glentworth to improve reliability
and performance.
