The Glentworth Group of Companies commenced trading as Glentworth Precision Engineering Limited in Hayes, Middlesex in 1974. It was a small sub-contract machining company working mainly within the aerospace and defence industries.

Glentworth Metal Concepts was formed and provided structural steelwork and architectural metalwork, mainly to the construction industry.

The companies operated with Glentworth Precision Engineering Limited in a shared unit at the Bilton Trading Estate in Bracknell, Berkshire. Due to sustained growth and success the two companies moved to their current premises in Wokingham, Berkshire in 1989, and in the process Glentworth Properties (Wokingham) Limited was formed.

In July 2004 Glentworth Holdings Limited was formed as the group structure was implemented. This further enhanced the future stability and growth of the Glentworth Group of Companies.

Glentworth Architectural Metalwork Limited was formed on 1st May 2005 and are based in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. It specialises in the fabrication and erection of architectural metalwork, specialising in particular, with stainless steel.

In January 2005 Glentworth Rail Limited was formed. The company specialises in the design, development and engineering of projects within the rail industry.

In 2007, Glentwoth acquired EcoLEDLighting Limited, adding a high-technology company, which specialises in designing and manufacturing LED lighting products.
